Description: 6.4 km. west of Lossiemouth. Looking west. Morayshire. Coastal erosion strongly influenced by the master-joints giving rise to vertical cliffs in false-bedded yellow Triassic sandstone. On the right are the present sea cliffs with a stack off the headland. In the centre and left are deserted sea cliffs at the edge of the raised beach. Straight boulder clay feature on skyline. Raised beaches are ancient beaches now above the present shoreline. They are above sea level due to falling sea levels or uplift due to local crustal movements.
