| Description: | Stac na h-Iolaire, Mam Suim, Strath Nethy. Inverness-shire. Dry rock-gullies, high-level glacial overflow channels from Glen More into Strath Nethy. In the foreground is a lateral moraine deposited at the edge of a valley glacier. The overflow channels are typical of those found surrounding the area of the former Glen More glacier.The heights of the channels range from 2130 to 2250 ft., the lowest is the one below the steep craggy slope seen in the photograph. It has a large spread of alluvial deposits at its mouth indicating it was in operation much longer than the others seen in C01380. |
