Description: Bromham Bridge, 2 1/2 m. W. of Bedford. Looking NW. The River Ouse flows normally through the three arches on the left side of the picture, but during floods may expand over the whole meadow shown in the view and through the flood-arches. Formerly a chapel stood on the middle of the bridge: the material of it is used in the mill seen behind the hawthorn bush.
