Description: South of Bucholly Castle, 8.047 km. south of Duncansby Head. Caithness. Cliffs of Old Red Sandstone, Thurso flagstones. The beds have a gentle dip seawards producing overhanging cliffs. A flat top is usually associated with horizontal or gently dipping beds and absence of a boulder clay covering. Note the well-developed jointing and the flat bedding-planes at the foot of the cliff.
