Description: Cliffs on W. side of Freshwater Bay. Looking SW. Western side of Freshwater Bay. Ciffs in Upper Chalk Zones of Holaster planus (dark on extreme left), Micraster cortestudinarium (left of white stove-pipe in Fort) and Micraster coranguinum. Bedding dips to right, and is slightly overturned at the moat of the Fort. To right of Fort the surface of the Chalk slopes quickly below beach-level, most of the cliff there consisting of Pleistocene 'head' (Elephant Bed) on the western side of the Yar Valley.
