Description: Gravel-pit, St. Boniface Down, above Ventnor Station. Looking NE. Angular flint gravel, St. Boniface Down. A residual accumulation of unworn flints from the Chalk in a variable ground-mass of flint-grit, flint-marl, fine quartz-sand, argillaceous matter, etc. The gravel passes downward into tufaceous chalky rubble with scattered flints, and this in turn into solid Chalk.
