Description: | Cliff E. of Little Stairs Point, about 1 m. W. of Shanklin, Sandown Bay. Looking NW. Faults in Lower Greensand, Little Stairs Point. Cliff in Ferruginous Sands, capped on left by loamy Plateau Gravel. The Exogyra Bed of No. A1757 appears in lower half of cliff on right. The principal fault, throwing down about 50 ft. to left, follows the left side of the triangular buttress in highlight (with pointed cave-like shadow) in right-hand half of view. Minor faults, throwing down to right, nearly coincide with the right-hand sides of the two buttresses in highlight in left-hand half of view. Other small displacements are discernible in the actual cliff. Fallen block of fossiliferous sandstone, from the upper half of the cliff, on the beach to the left.
