Description: Dunnet Bay, 8.852 km. east of Thurso. Caithness. Blown sand. Coastal sand-dunes covered with a thick growth of Psamma arenaria. A horse and cart is seen on the right. In the wide shallower bays blown sand accumulations form long, almost unbroken ranges of dunes immediately above high-water mark and usually backed by extensive sand flats and links.
