Description: Midland Quarry, Nuneaton. Looking SSE. The thick sill of diorite intrusive into the Middle or Tuttle Hill division of the Hartshill Quartzite. This sill can be traced to north-west for some distance, but gradually thins out. Here it is about 75 feet thick, whereas at the Conneil Quarry, less than a mile away, it is only 10 feet in thickness.
