Description: Culbin sand-hills. Morayshire. Successive storm beaches situated on a raised beach are swept clear by the wind in advance of the drifting dunes leaving a pattern of low parallel ridges seen in the centre of the photograph. The direction of sand-drift is almost towards observer, i.e. from west to east. Behind the storm beach ridges is a large dome-shaped dune with its steep advancing face facing the observer.
