Description: Culbin sand-hills. Morayshire. The easterly slope of the advancing sand-hills showing a distinct curved shape reminiscent of the crescentic-shaped barchans found in deserts worldwide. The easterly slope of the advancing sand-hills. On left centre - old land surface swept clear of advancing sand. The incipient landslips above the steep bank and the wind-ripples on the right and in the foreground, indicate that the sand-drift is from right to left, i.e. from west to east.
