Description: The low rounded hills in centre are roches moutonnees in the path of the Strathspey glacier.The buildings in front of Loch Alvie are Ballinluig. The plateau of the Gaick Forest (Moine schist) in far distance. Forms part of a panorama with B00750 and B00751 showing Strathspey from Aviemore (on left) to Loch Insh (in distance on right). Gravel terraces, probably of fluvioglacial origin, in foreground and middle distance, with Loch Alvie occupying a hollow in these deposits. Alvie Church is seen on the opposite shore.
