Description: Man o'War Rocks and St. Oswald's Bay from Durdle Headland. Looking ESE. The Man o'War is a half-tide rock formed of Portland Stone. On the left is the Chalk. Between the Chalk and the Man 'War the Gault, Wealden and Purbeck are recognizable on the ground, but squeezed into about one quarter of their proper thickness. All the strata are nearly vertical.
