Description: View into Coire nan Lochan, from the north side of Glen Coe. Looking south-south-west. Argyllshire. Lower Old Red Sandstone volcanic rocks of the Glencoe Cauldron Subsidence. Stob Coire nan Lochan, (1114.65 m.), the distant peak in the centre is composed of hornblende-andesites resting on agglomerate. Below, and forming Aonach Dubh, (868.38 m.), on the right, and Gearr Aonach on the left, are thick flows of rhyolite overlying thinner flows of augite-andesite, dipping from right to left.
