| Description: | Lower Old Red Sandstone lavas of the Glencoe Cauldron Subsidence form the conspicuous cliff running obliquely up the slope from right to left to where they meet the Boundary Fault at the low-point of the ridge on the left. Andesite and some rhyolite lavas resting unconformably on phyllites which underlie the scree and drift-covered ground at the foot of the crags. The lighter-coloured rocks to the left of the Boundary Fault consist of quartzite invaded by porphyritic granite of the Fault Intrusion. |
