Description: Point Quarry, West Williamston, Carew. Looking N. Carboniferous Limestone Series: Unconformable junction of subzone C2 with Caninia Oolite. Part of A959, the beds being similarly numbered. The top of the uninterrupted oolite (1) and also the top of the 'piped' part (2) above have been picked out in black where traceable. The continuous black line marks the top of the clay-mudstone (3). On the right-hand margin of the view the mudstone fills a large cavity (D) near the top of the oolite floored and roofed by solid oolite.
