Description: Marloes Bay (SE end). Looking ENE. Normal junction of Old Red Sandstone and Silurian (Ludlow). Hollows, at south-east end of Marloes Bay. The plane of junction is marked by the arrow. The Old Red Sandstone (on the right) consists of red sandy marls and sandstones, the Silurian (on the left) consists of grey and yellow sandstones. A brownish red sandstone bed 3 feet thick occurs 6 feet below the Old Red Sandstone base.
