Description: Looking SW from above Boscastle. Pliocene plateau. On the left the change of slope marks the landward termination of the plateau. Raised beach material was found at 430 feet above sea level, under 10 feet of 'head', at the commencement of the slope. The view is taken looking across a modern V shaped valley carved out of the plateau. This is seen in the foreground.
