Description: Bossiney Bay and Long Island, Tintagel. Coast scenery. Another view of cliffs of Upper Devonian slates and lava in normal position. This is the seaward termination of the beds which possess a strike in a north-west direction for many miles between Lewannick and the coast. The sea stack is grey green phyllites (the uppermost beds of the sequence) and then in descending order come the blue black slates of the ridge of the islets, the lava cliffs composing most of the view, underlain by other black slates and silvery phyllites.
