Description: Ifton Quarry, Severn Tunnel Junction. Looking NE. Millstone Grit unconformably filling hollows in Carboniferous Limestone, both overlain by Trias, the dark material which has been worked from the edge of the quarry. Near view of the hollow shown in A798. The limestone below the figure overhangs grit, and a hollow behind the handle of the shovel is due to a pocket of grit in the limestone.
