Description: Lee Moor china-clay works. Looking from W. to N. A panoramic view of the Lee Moor Clay Works. On the right is the waste sand tip from the White Hill pit; proceeding towards the left the following points can be observed in order: the Whitehill micas, the Lee Moor pit micas, below which are the mica clay settling pits and sand grading plant; the buildings in front of these are the mixing sheds and kilns for fire bricks. On the skyline immediately over the Lee Moor micas a new engine house is seen, the pit lies to the right of this. The settling pits, covered tanks, and drys are situated farther to the left (3 smoke stack); beyond this again are the new 'Klondyke' pits and drys. The large white lake at the extreme left is the final settlement of waste clay water in which the water is cleared before admitted to the stream.
