Description: Steps, W. side of Gilman Point, Pendine. Looking NW. Conglomerate of limestone pebbles in Carboniferous Limestone at Pendine Steps. The even bedded limestone in the upper part (Seminula Zone) has at the base a concretionary-looking bed made up of rounded lumps of dark limestone set in a lighter matrix. The limestone in the lower part (which belongs to the Zaphrentis Zone) is a light grey column and has no distinct bedding. The conglomerate (best shown near figure) is associated with yellow laminated beds seen in the centre and on the right.
