Description: | Goonvean China-clay Works, NE of Trethosa, St. Stephen-in-Brannel. Looking N. Pits and pump. These pits receive the clay water which has travelled along the drags and micas shown in the last photograph. Owing to their being at a lower level than the tanks, the clay water, before passing into the latter, has to be raised to the requisite level by the pump shown, whence it travels into the tanks along the launder seen. |
