Description: | Trevellas Coombe, St. Agnes. Killas in Trevellas Coombe. View illustrating the characteristic structure of the arenaceous horizon which De La Beche has called the Newlyn Downs and Grampounds Grits. They have been re-mapped as the Falmouth and Portscatho Series. The well defined stratification is produced by the alternations of those shales with harder fine-grained grits, but the regularity of the bedding is deceptive. |
