View showing part of site (see C03776, middle background) stripped of boulder clay down to rockhead. The bank in front of the line of trees is in boulder clay, 3 - 3.6 m. thick. Bored rock in foreground; dark area marks the outcrop of coal, the Bogside Thick Group. The Bogside Thick Group is part of the Passage Group (Scottish Millstone Grit), of Carboniferous age.
