Description: Sclattie Quarry, Bucksburn. Aberdeenshire. The photograph shows a view at the base of the quarry. Large blocks of granite await further processing or transport out of the quarry. Note that some blocks have been split using the plug and feather method, the short drill holes in which the feathers were hammered are clearly visible. A quarryman on the right wields a large sledge-hammer.
