This example is from the same quarries as the last three varieties. The ground-mass of this specimen is, however, of a richer orange colour, the black veinings are more distinctly defined, and. there are occasional clouded white patches of calcite which are not present in the foregoing specimens. An example of it may be seen in the pavement of the chancel of Bristol Cathedral Light Montarenti Siena is. in demand in the United States of America as a decorative material. An example may be seen in the Music Hall of the Carnegie Library, Pittsburg. |
