| Description: | Skutustadir on the south side of Lake Myvatn (My= midge, Vatn= lake). Psuedovolcanoes. Cones without roots, created when hot lava flows (post glacial >1100 yrs) buried wet lake sediments. Resultant steam erupted through lavas giving 'klinker' spatter cones. |
