Description: | Dark and pale grey, thin bedded limestone. Clean limestone, made of fine calcite dust and thin, small shells, forms irregular fragments and slivers in a darker argillaceous limestone containing few shells. Small dolomite rhombs, up to 0.05 mm across, are common and angular quartz chips, of similar size, are sparse in both varieties; small cubes of pyrite are scarce.
