Description: | A grey and brown, crystalline dolomite with large cavities. Composed of interlocking grains of dolomite, of grain varying from 0.1 to 1.5 mm, between and among which limonitic dust is widely distributed. The sample contains bands of dolomitic chert in which whole and fragmentary crinoid plates, completely dolomitized, are numerous. Dolomite, zoophasmic, uneven mosaic, and dolomitic chert, taxichnic SL0103. Britrocks S40337. Magnification x40. Light XPL. |
