Description: A dark buff-grey limestone showing numerous productid shells and spines in hand specimen. The thin section shows large shells which are mostly arranged flatly to the bedding, numerous spines and a few foraminifera and polyzoan fragments, in a matrix of fine granular calcite of about 0.03 mm average grain-size, scantily cemented by turbid brown argillo-calcareous matter. Limestone, argillaceous, fossiliferous, clastizoic, bedded. SL0174. Britrocks S34905. Magnification x40. Light PPL.
