The gritty portion is composed of angular grains of quartz, up to 0.5 mm, and numerous pseudo-ooliths of pelitomorphic dolomite which with subordinate microcline and fine-grained silica-rock are cemented by rhomboid dolomite of varying grain and by shapeless calcite. Dolomite, arenaceous and dolomitic sandstone, interbanded, taxichnic. SL0157. Britrocks S34857(a). Magnification x40. Light PPL. |
