Description: | Compact, fawn-grey limestone composed of finely triturated debris of calcareous organisms with numerous fragments of small shells and many foraminifera and scarcer spines, Calcisphaera, polyzoan and algal fragments, and small faecal pellets, in a recrystallized base of finely granular calcite. Limestone, micrograined, microfossiliferous, clastizoichnic. SL0055. Britrocks S34536. Magnification x40. Light PPL. |
