Description: A brownish-grey, compact limestone. Composed partly of very fine-grained calcite as nodules of algal growth, partly of a compactly bedded mass of calcareous organic debris cemented by very fine-grained turbid calcite traversed by limonitic stylolitic films. The fossils present include crinoids, ostracods, polyzoa, shells, spines, and scarce phosphatic plates. Limestone, algal, clastizoic, bedded. SL0020. Britrocks S34528. Magnification x40. Light PPL.
