Description: | Clear colourless crystals of plagioclase feldspar and quartz occur with the coloured mafic minerals hornblende and biotite, and small amounts of the mineral titanite. In this image hornblende is yellowish green, biotite is generally brown, and a single crystal of titanite in the boottom right of the view is pale brown and has a pointed termination. Two crystals of hornblende just right of centre illustrate clearly ther typical diamond shaped form of this mineral. |
