Description: Glengregagh, S. of Belfast. Looking NW. View of the Chalk-basalt scarp near Belfast. The photograph is taken from the outcrop of the Silurian rocks across the Lagan Valley cut in Triassic strata. About half-way up the distant scarp several exposures and pits in Chalk can just be discerned. The highest mountain is Divis formed of Lower Basalts.
