Description: Terry's Quarries, 1/4 m. WSW of Offham. Looking SW. Quarry in Hythe Beds. A close view of a face of the quarry also seen in A7162, A7163 and A7165, showing lithological details. Note the considerable variation in the thickness of the courses, the tendency of some of the beds to the lenticular, and that although in general horizontal, the strata exhibit some slight discordances of dip. rag and chert, the latter never as thick as the former, show up light, while the dark material is hassock.
