| Description: | Cemented 8 m. raised beach and wave-smoothed surface on Icart gneiss. Raised beach gravel occupies a marked notch smoothed into the Icart gneiss. To the top of the photograph poorly developed phenocrysts of orthoclase feldspar can be seen in the gneiss. The 1 m. of raised beach gravel is cemented to a conglomerate by clay and iron. Many of the cobbles of the beach are sub-round and lightly weathered. |
