Description: Close-up view of the gravels of the 8 m. raised beach. The gravel consists of well-rounded pebbles and cobbles of granodiorite in a matrix of sand. In the finer gravel to the bottom left of the photograph a few flints can be seen. The largest cobbles of granodiorite are very weathered and several, visible centre and centre left, are rotted to a sandy constituency. The gravel is well cemented by iron.
