Description: Oblique aerial view of Glen Coe. Inverness-shire. Looking south-west from Beinn a' Chrulaiste showing igneous contacts between the Moor of Rannoch Granite, Lower Old Red Sandstone lavas and the Cruachan Granite. The foreground crags are of the Moor of Rannoch Granite in faulted contact with the Fault Intrusion of the Glen Coe cauldron subsidence. Stob Dearg in the middle of the picture is formed of a lava pile. The hills forming the background peaks are part of the Cruachan Granite, a separate intrusion (dark tone) intrusive into the Lower Old Red Sandstone lava pile.
