Description: Kennack Bay (W. side), 30 yd. S. of cove, Ruan Minor. Looking NW. A dyke of banded gneiss cutting bastite serpentine and gabbro. Serpentine in both sides is massive bastite serpentine with fluxion banding in shadow of the left lower corner of photo. Dyke comes up this gravel of beach (1-2.) and rises through cliff 3; cuts banding of serpentine sharply. Traverses small coarse gabbro veins (4) which is not repeated on opposite side of dyke. Hence there is faulting along dyke plane. Banding of dyke seen in 1 and 2.
